Big B thinks it’s a good nickname for Abhishek-Aishwarya’s daughter

Amitabh Bachchan says his family has not finalised the name of Abhishek and Aishwarya’s child yet. But for now, he prefers calling his grandchild ‘Bitiya’ (little daughter). Bachchan does not seem to like the nickname ‘Beti B’ too much. It was picked up by Abhishek from actor Shahana Goswami’s congratulatory tweet to him. He liked it so much that he started using it as an ‘official nickname’. Abhishek had tweeted, “Till we find a name for the little lady a dear friend @ShahanaGoswami gave me a great one. We have Sr B and Jr B already so… Beti B!” But Sr Bachchan is a bit touchy about this we guess, and so affectionately calls his granddaughter, Bitiya. After the naming ceremony, the child’s name will begin with the letter ‘A’– just like her parents Abhishek and Aishwarya and her granddad Amitabh. What do you think Bitiya should be called?

The Players actor reveals who keeps her company every night

Sonam Kapoor’s home is an art lover’s dream. Beautiful paintings adorn the walls, life-size sculptures hug room corners, and intricately carved silverware decorates side tables. So naturally one would assume that she is an art connoisseur. However, Sonam reveals that her first love is gizmos. “I just love my gadgets. Even when I go to sleep, I have my gadgets plugged in next to me, thanks to an extension cord. I don’t know what I will do without my gadgets. I will be bored to death,” she reveals. Now we can’t say for sure if Sonam is being honest or is just saying it to promote her upcoming film, Players, as she plays a computer hacker in the Abbas Mustan flick. “I play Naina, an ethical hacker who is crazy about Abhishek’s (Bachchan) character and will do anything for him. That’s why she joins the Players,” says Sonam. The actor also claimed that she has hacked into her friends’ Facebook and Twitter accounts several times. “It’s very easy to guess passwords – they are usually birthdates or pet names,” she says. She also claims that no one has managed to hack into her online accounts. “I am smart,” she announced. Smart enough to say such things just to promote her film? We wonder what she will say when it is time to promote her next, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

While most female actors have problems breaking out of camps and landing plum roles with a good variety of production houses, Priyanka Chopra seems to be facing no such trouble. Piggy Chops is one of the very few female actors who has a great equation with most of her male co-stars and it has definitely helped her bag some very crucial projects. It’s a known fact that Priyanka is a “very close friend” of the king of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan and after her recent patch up with Salman Khan, a film starring the two doesn’t seem like a distant dream either. If she keeps her great strategy going, she could also land up having a good equation with the third Khan, Aamir himself! There’s a great advantage that Priyanka has over her rival Kareena Kapoor. Unlike Piggy, Kareena has a lot of limitations when it comes to choosing her co-stars. Bebo is completely closed to working with Abhishek Bachchan (given their old family feud), things between her and Hrithik have gone quite sour over the years and Ranbir is a strict no-no since he is her cousin! Priyanka, on the other hand, gets along like a house on fire with all three— Abhishek, Hrithik and Ranbir. And since her break up with Shahid Kapoor all those years ago, Bebo hasn’t been able to share a professional relationship with him either. While Priyanka has, very smartly, not let her personal dynamics get in the way of landing a plum project like Kunal Kohli’s next with Shahid. Good going, Priyanka, but here’s a word of advice – beware of a certain Ms Kaif who is slowly catching up with your strategy. Don’t forget that Kat is soon set to romance her ex-boyfriend’s dushman SRK in a Yash Raj romance!

Is Katrina Kaif copying Rakhi Sawant?

Just when everyone is going gaga about Kat’s rustic dance moves in the new item song –Chikni Chameli from Agneepath, Rakhi Sawant describes it as banal and bland. The unsparing babe thinks that she has already done all of it before. Giving zero credit to Kat for all the effort she put in those spicy thumkas and jhatkas, Ms Sawant claims that she has and will always remain the pioneer of item dancing in Bollywood. Without thinking twice, Sawant has labelled herself as the trendsetter of B-town and says that Katrina must be really in love with her to copy her moves back to back, twice. (Remember Sheila ki jawani and now Chikni Chameli). One thing is for sure that no one can get the Sawant babe off her high horse and if one really wants to do that, they should be prepared to get into the war zone and slug it out with her. We all know Kat is not going to react verbally to any of this hogwash. But Chikni Chameli is unstoppable now and she very well knows how to make her detractors go green with envy. So we suggest Rakhi to dial it down a li’l ‘coz the green is showing on her face and the swift red hot comments aren’t helping much to conceal it either!
