Jodie Foster has been a major Hollywood actress for more than 40 years, and was honored for her career at the Golden Globes on Jan. 13 with the Lifetime Achievement Award. But it was her thoughtful and thought-provoking acceptance speech that got celebs buzzing on Twitter  – and reacting to her funny and touching coming out.

“A big coming out speech tonight,” she said during her speech. “I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago in the stone age. Back in the days when a fragile young girl would open up to trusted friends and family and co-workers and then gradually proudly to everyone who knew her, to everyone she actually met. But now apparently every celebrity is expected to expose the details of their private life with a press conference, a fragrance and a reality show.”

Quentin Tarantino Drops N-Word Backstage At Golden Globes

The Golden Globe winner, who took home the Best Screenplay award for ‘Django Unchained,’ dropped the vulgar N-word backstage in the press room! Do YOU think that’s crossing the line?

Quentin Tarantino is no stranger to controversy, and the Django Unchained writer and director definitely stirred up the drama backstage at the Golden Globes by saying the N-word in a room full of people.

The director has come under fire ever since Django Unchained premiered, with many people insisting that the 100-plus times the racial slur is uttered in the movie is unnecessary and over-the-top.

But Quentin believes it’s important factor in telling the slave-era story about hatred and intolerance, especially in the South. So when he tried to defend himself and his movie yet again against the vulgar word, he said it in the press room backstage at the Golden Globes.

The usually noisy and chaotic room fell silent after Quentin uttered the phrase, according the The Hollywood Reporter, with only audible gasps and shocked whistles from reporters in response. And the writer and director wasn’t apologizing.

“They think I should soften it, that I should lie, that I should massage.” he said about critics who didn’t think him using the slur so often in the film was appropriate. ”I would never do that when it comes to my characters,” he added.

Quentin Takes Home Golden Globe For Best Screenplay

The Hollywood Foreign Press didn’t seem offended by Quentin’s controversial use of the N-word in his film Django Unchained — he took home the Golden Globes for Best Screenplay, and actor Christoph Waltz won the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for his role in the film.

Kristen Stewart Joins Robert Pattinson At Private Golden Globes After-Party

Even though Kristen didn’t walk Rob down the red carpet before the 70th-Annual Golden Globes on Jan. 13, she ended up joining her beau later that night at an after-party! How sweet!

It looks like Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are holding up their tradition of keeping their relationship super private! While Rob walked the red carpet solo – he was invited to the awards show as a celebrity presenter – Kristen skipped the Golden Globes all together.

However, celebrity journalist and E! News reporter Marc Malkin revealed on Twitter that Kristen joined her beau for a private Golden Globes after-party!

“Just got word that Kristen stewart just joined Robert Pattinson at a super private post-Golden Globes VIP party,” Marc tweeted on the early morning of Jan. 14. Unfortunately, no other details were immediately available.

Kristen Makes Surprise Golden Globes Appearance

Even though Kristen left Rob to present at the awards show by himself, there was a surprise two hours into the show — Kristen appeared front-and-center, for all the stars to see!

Actually, Kristen was shown very briefly, as part of a video montage before Jodie Foster accepted the Cecile B. DeMille Award. K-Stew wasn’t at the awards show in person, but was featured in a clip for the 2002 film Panic Room, the movie she starred in with the iconic actress.

Rob spent the remainder of the Golden Globes awards by himself, but he did receive awarm embrace from Kristen’s dad John Stewart before walking the red carpet — and he met up with his lady later that night! We love a good happy ending.

Ben may have been snubbed by the Academy, but he & ‘Argo’ owned the Globes!

Ben Affleck got the last laugh Jan. 13 at the 70th Annual Golden Globes , and we couldn’t be happier about it. Not only did he personally win Best Director for Argo, but his movie also won the biggest award of the night: Best Motion Picture, Drama! He also got to go home with Jennifer Garner , but that really goes without saying.

Hopefully there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind now that the Academy really screwed up by not giving Ben an Oscar nomination.

Ben Affleck’s Emotional Golden Globes Speech

Ben was beaming with excitement as he arrived on stage and received his Golden Globe from Halle Berry .

“I don’t care what the award is,” he began. “When they put your name next to the names she just read off, it’s an extraordinary thing in your life. These nominees are exceptional talent. I truly to God never thought I’d be in the same breath as them. I want to thank them. I want to thank the many talented people who weren’t nominated.”

He went on to thank the usual people — his people, the studio, the cast and crew of his movie, etc. — before moving on to the four most important people in his life.

“Also, I just want to thank my three kids,” he said. “Violet, Sera and Sam, I love you guys. I want to thank my wife, who’s the reason I’m standing here. I adore you, I love you so much. Thanks for sitting through this, you’re my everything. Thank you all very much!”

Jen looked so happy for her husband, and so in love. We’re sure they found a good way to celebrate later that night!

Ekta Kapoor to marry in two years?

The producer declared in a recent interview that marriage is on the cards and she hopes that her mom will be happy hearing this

“Yes, they want me to settle down and I hope mom isn’t reading this interview. If she is, let me say I’ll get married in the next two years. That should make her very happy. I have actually left it all to God. You cannot plan these things. I can’t tell you who I am going to marry but I can definitely tell you who I am not going to marry. I will never…never ever…marry a television or film actor. The rest I don’t know. But there are better things to talk about.”

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar’s music company LM MUSIC was launched in Mumbai on Sunday by Pandit Jasraj, Amitabh Bachchan and Nita Ambani at a star-studded function in Mumbai.  Bollywood celebrities like Sridevi , Boney Kapoor, Madhur Bhandarker, Alka Yagnik and Mahalakshmi Iyer were among those present.

Bachchan wished all the luck to the new label. “I am too small in front of all the dignitaries present here…. best wishes to LM MUSIC and I wish the company also becomes a precious stone like Lata,” he said.

Later on Facebook, Bachchan said, “Lata Mangeshkar launches her music company LM Music and invites for to inaugurate it … honoured and humbled .. Pt Jasraj ji Lata ji on stage .. a most divine evening in the greats of classical and the most revered ..”. He added, “Lataji felicitates me for coming and inaugurating her LM Music company … functioning mainly to encourage young talent… she is just an incredible picture of humility and grace ..”

LM MUSIC will encourage young talent that needs an outlet for its creativity including budding artists who Lata feels have the potential to maintain the high standards set by legends. The label has six new albums including Sufi and spiritual music.

Jasraj said that there was no one who could match Lata’s contribution to the field of music. “There is no one today who has contributed so much to music….she is the eight wonder of the world,” he said.

Nita Ambani said that the launch marked an important day in her life. “This event is a landmark for all of us …Lata Mangeshkar is a living legend. She has enthralled millions of hearts all over the world with her music,” she said. “For generations, women in my life have worshiped her voice, she has such an impact…thank you for making me a part of this journey,” she added.

Priyanka Chopra and Ram Charan Teja’s Rs 500 bet!

The Zanjeer actors engage in a ‘betting’ game on the sets to polish their language skills. Wanna know who won?

It seems that the lead actors – Priyanka Chopra and Ram Charan Teja , of Apoorva Lakhia’s much-anticipated remake of Zanjeer , have found a new way to better each other’s craft on the sets. Considering the film is simultaneously being shot in Hindi and Telugu, both Priyanka and Ram have accepted the challenge to master their dialogue delivery in Telugu and Hindi, respectively. Our feathered friend present on the sets informed us that both PC and RC (as they are fondly called) have been of great help to each other, and every day after pack-up, the two super-hot stars spend two to three hours brushing up their language skills. Hmm… we hope that the two concentrate only on the language and nothing else!

Our feathered friend also told us that the unit members have laid a bet of Rs 500 on the two actors as to who would forget their dialogues first i.e. Priyanka in Telugu or Ram in Hindi! So far, neither PC nor RC has made a single mistake.
