Beyoncé: Inaugural Official Confirms She Didn’t Sing Live

Beyonce, Inaugural, Official Confirms,Sing Live

As Beyoncé’s lip-sync controversy rages on, an unnamed inaugural official has confirmed that she lip-synced her performance of the National Anthem on Jan. 21!

President Barack Obama was meant to be the focus of Inauguration Day 2013, but that all changed when accusations arose that Beyoncé ‘s performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” during the inaugural ceremony on Jan. 21 was, in fact, a lip-sync. While the pop star has stayed mum on the subject, an unnamed inaugural official has confirmed to CNN that the performance wasn’t live .
The official, who asked not to be identified, told the news outlet, “She did not sing live.” Instead, a pre-recording of the artist singing the National Anthem was played. The official alleges that Beyoncé made the decision to play the recording herself, the night before the event.

Beyoncé Chose To Lip-Sync On Her Own

It’s alleged that she arrived so late on Sunday evening that she didn’t have the proper amount to rehearse with the U.S. Marine Band, who was asked to accompany the performance. “Because she didn’t have time to rehearse with the Marine Band, she decided to use her recording with the Marine Band,” the official said. “It was all Beyoncé.”
The anonymous official said they were “puzzled” by the decision, stating that when the pre-recording was made, “she was spot on.” Though the official essentially ratted Beyoncé out, they said that the taped performance shouldn’t detract from her skills as a live singer. “She’s actually a very good live singer,” they said.

Jennifer Lopez Defends Beyoncé

Several singers have leapt to Beyoncé’s defense in light of the scrutiny. When Jennifer Lopez appeared on The Daily Show on Jan. 22, host Jon Stewart asked for her thoughts on the situation. The “Dance Again” singer said, “In certain venues and stuff, they do prerecord things, because you’re going to have that terrible slapback.” Jon, who was clearly puzzled by the term, replied, “Sure. Slapback.” J.Lo added, “All performers do have to do it at some point.”
Do you think it’s a big deal that Beyoncé didn’t sing live at the Presidential Inauguration,HollywoodLifers?

Subhash Ghai was born on January 24, 1945. Continuing his customary practice of making grand movie announcements on his birthday every year, the 67-year-old filmmaker this year too surprised many with his decision to direct a film with the Dabangg 2 actor Salman Khan , which he intends to start shooting early next year.
The “action-packed masala entertainer,” as Ghai calls it, will be his first directorial project sinceYuvvraaj. “I have a commitment with Salman to start a film from January 2014, which I will be directing. This year, I’m caught up with another movie Kaanchi and Salman is also busy. I have the script and the star. So there shouldn’t be a problem,” informed the birthday boy ecstatically.
It’s a known fact that Ghai’s relation with his Yuvvraaj actor had gone sour after their last romantic movie, also starring Anil Kapoor and Katrina Kaif , failed miserably at the box office. Considering the new development, it seems the actor-director duo have decided to bury the hatchet and let bygones be bygones.
The excited filmmaker has a lot going for him this year. He’s not only looking forward to producing and directing Kaanchi starring Rishi Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty, but also has a film on the anvil featuring all the three Deols – Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol and Apna Sapna Money Money 2. We wish Mr Ghai all the very best and a very happy birthday!

The veteran script writer takes his fight with the makers of Zanjeer to another level as he demands Rs six crores as compensation

Veteran script writer Salim Khan has always been a champion for the rights of writers who have historically been ignored in Bollywood. And although he has not written any new film of late, he has not hung his boots just yet. His latest project seems to be about reclaiming the rights to his 70s hit film Zanjeer that is being remade by Apoorva Lakhia.
Salim Khan, who had authored the script with his partner Javed Akhtar , has demanded Rs six crores as compensation from the makers of the film Reliance Entertainment and producer Amit Mehra. And although it was Amit Mehra’s father Prakash Mehra who had produced the original film, Salim Khan claims that he had merely licensed the movie script to Prakash Mehra besides keeping the rights for the Southern version for himself. “We have asked for Rs three crores as royalty for the Hindi script and Rs three crores for the South remake. When the original was made, I had kept the copyright of the Southern version.”
And now, as all talks seem to have failed, Salim Khan has approached the Scriptwriters Association, and his sons Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan have joined the fight too. There have been reports that Salman has been using his muscle as a superstar to resolve the issue, since this is something that his father is really passionate about.
And with the remake starring Ram Charan Teja, Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt almost on the verge of completion, the producers are increasingly turning nervous and looking for a way out! Well, pay up wethinks, ‘coz Salim Khan is known to be an honest guy. And whatever the case be, for the sake of the producers, it is never good to have an angry Salman clan on your tail!
