Ranbir Kapoor replaces Shahrukh Khan in Chetan Bhagat’s ‘Two States’

The Rockstar dude, Ranbir is the new hot favourite for B-town producers. He will be now be seen in the north-south love story inspired by Chetan Bhagat’s novel

It was all decided that filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj was set to work with Shahrukh Khan in the screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s ‘Two States’, which was initially set to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. However, due to some reasons the project was put on hold and the Saat Khoon Maaf filmmaker began working on a comedy starring his actor-friend Ajay Devgn opposite the pretty Anushka Sharma. According to the latest buzz, the multi-faceted filmmaker, Karan Johar has expressed his interest to collaborate with Nadiadwala on the Two States adaptation. The production houses are now in talks to finalise the deal. The other major development is that the film will no longer have SRK in the lead, instead, Ranbir Kapoor has taken it up. It would have been ‘a dream come true’ for Bharadwaj and SRK to work together, we doubt if King Khan could still pull off a college student’s role at the age of 45. While Ranbir is set to play the lead we wonder who will play his love interest in the love story! Let’s wait and watch for more.
