Bollywood’s first He-man is still raring to go!
Dara Singh, Bollywood’s original action hero, is still fit and strong as he turns 83 years old today.
He was born on November 18, 1928. He was most recently seen in
Jab We Met. Dara Singh was a wrestling champion before he made his Bollywood debut in 1962. So he was a natural choice for makers of action films. One of his most memorable performances was in Mard, where he played Amitabh Bachchan’s father. The fight he has with the leading man had even die-hard Bachchan fans rooting for this Jat from Punjab. We wish this legend a very happy birthday!
