John Abraham and Nishikant Kamat split over ‘Force’ sequel

The star actor is keen to make another action film, preferably a sequel to Force and the production house is now in search of a new director

John Abraham’s last box office success was Yash Raj’s New York back in 2009. After three long years the hunky actor was associated with a hit film and it seems he isn’t willing to let it go. Even if it means to part with some things, John is okay with it. According to a little birdie, “After the release of Force, Nishikanth wanted to make another film, but John insisted that he make an action flick again.” Apparently, Kamath isn’t keen on repeating the genre as he wants to experiment with something new. Fortunately for John, the film’s producer Vipul Shah supported the idea of the sequel. So as of now, Force 2 is on the cards but without the National Award winning director. The director’s exit has stalled the casting process till the producer finds a replacement. Meanwhile, insiders say that Vidya Balan who created quite a buzz while working with John in Salaam-E-Ishq will most probably be cast opposite him in Force 2. It seems John has learnt his lesson from past failures and will now concentrate on what he does best on screen – flash the flesh!
