The Ram Kapoor-Sakshi Tanwar show has taken a surprising turn
Ardent fans of Ram and Priya Kapoor got quite a shock last night. The results of the health checkup Priya forced on Ram are out. The tests proved that Ram was totally healthy while Priya has breast cancer! A few days ago, Ram Kapoor tweeted, “Here’s a little inside scoop for all of you….I think you guys will finally get what you’ve been waiting for in bade acche. (Wink wink)” While we thought that means the two will simply admit their love for each other, it seems Ekta Kapoor has decided to make it much more complicated than that. Ram and Priya will have to face many more troubles before they understand how much they love each other. They took the first step last night when Ram held Priya’s hand and assured her he was there for her, cancer or no cancer.What also surprised us was how the show included a lecture on the seriousness of breast cancer and the importance of detecting it early. Finally we have a show that deals with problems more serious than just saas-bahu fights (which it does too, hey, it is a Balaji Telefilms production!) We would never have expected an Ekta show to be educational, but we are glad it was. Now if only it doesn’t degenerate from here and show a miraculous recovery or worse, the doctor telling them that the reports had been mixed up and Priya doesn’t have cancer. That would break all our hearts.
