Marilyn Monroe still features in perfume Chanel No. 5’s ad

Marilyn Monroe, features, perfume, Chanel No. 5’s ad
Even 50 years after her death, Hollywood’s most celebrated icon Marilyn Monroe is capable of selling a product. According to reports, the classic beauty is still living on as the new face of famous ‘Chanel No.5’ perfume. Way back in 1952, the legendary actress told an interviewer that it was all she wore to bed. When the interviewer asked her-- "They ask you questions like...What do you wear to bed - A pyjama top? The bottoms of the pyjama? A nightgown?", Monroe said, "So I said, 'Chanel No. 5' because it's the truth!...And yet I don't want to say 'nude'!"

This became the almost accidental endorsement unintentionally rendered the perfume one of the most successful marketing campaigns ever without even having to pay a cent for it. News.com.au reported that last month Chanel uncovered the previously misplaced audio of the interview with Marie Claire in which she spoke about ‘No.5’ and now the clip features as part of a cinematic commercial. Since the release of the ad less than a week ago, it has been watched over 750,000 times.
