The megastar reacted rather philosophically after getting a notice from the Supreme Court over tax dues

The Supreme Court issued a notice to Amitabh Bachchan, based on a petition filed by the Income Tax department , claiming that the superstar owes Rs 1.66 crores for his money-based reality show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. The 70-year-old star of the millennium reacted to the whole episode in his trademark philosophical style. “Both death and Income Tax department are inevitable in life,” said the Big B .
“There are two things in life that one will have to face – death and IT department. Both are inevitable. In any case I will follow the Court’s order,” added senior Bachchan at the promo launch of his upcoming film Jolly LLB. The film is directed by Subhash Kapoor of Phas Gaye Re Obama fame and it will feature Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani .
Incidentally, the movie is a satire on the Indian judiciary system. So has Big B ever had a bitter experience with the judiciary, asked a curious journalist. The veteran actor gave a politically correct reply. “No not really. I remember when my name cropped up during Bofors case in London…the only weapon I had was speaking the truth. We were on the side of truth and we won,” said Big B.
We hope that the Kaun Banega Crorepati host will get out of these legal troubles real soon and continue to entertain us with his extraordinary acting skills.
