Demi Lovato Quits Twitter After Meltdown

Demi announced to her Twitter fans that she was taking a break the social media website just a day after a rant about trust! Do you think she’ll stay away for long?
On Jan. 3, Demi Lovato shared a Twitter rant about only surrounding yourself with people you can trust and communicate with. After news outlets (HollywoodLife.com included) reported on the X Factor judge’s comments, she took the the social media website on Jan. 4 to announce that she was walking away from Twitter for good!

“I don’t get how people get ‘stories’ from very vague twitter posts…About friendship….??” Demi tweeted. She followed that up with, “Blehh. I really love my fans but I hate gossip sites…Gonna take a breather from twitter..I love y’all!”

The tweets in question on Jan. 3 did seem to point to an issue going on in a relationship in the pop star’s life. “Patience + communication = trust When you learn how to communicate with others, there’s almost no problem you can’t solve,” she tweeted, adding, “P.S. Only surround yourself with people who you CAN communicate with. Trust is a bond between TWO people that is found ONLY when they are able to listen/understand where the other person is coming from. That to me, is the key to friendships/ relationships.”

Many wondered if Demi was referencing her on-again/off-again relationship with Wilmer Valderrama, who was spotted on the X Factor set on Nov. 8 and again on Nov. 12, 2012.

Unsure of her and Wilmer’s relationship status after the cryptic tweets, HollywoodLife.com reached out to Demi’s rep for some clarification. We were told, “She tweets this stuff pretty often, sounds like sound life advice.”

We certainly hope that Demi doesn’t stay away from Twitter for too long!
