Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey are fashionable singing stars that always manage to steal the spotlight. They always wow the crowds during red carpet events and performances. Nicki is super eccentric, and Mariah always dresses very sexy. We have so much respect for the fashion risks that both of these ladies take, but which one looks better?
At the 2012 Grammy’s, Nicki stepped out in a Little Red Ridinghood-esque ensemble — gloves and all. Only she would think to wear such a thing to an awards ceremony, but she did get much publicity, as always.
Mariah Carey tends to stun the crowds in flirty little frocks. On Nov. 27, she opted to wear an embellished red dress with beautiful red gloves to match. She looked like one of Santa’s little helpers just in time for the holiday season! We loved that on her. She has also been seen wearing similar tight dresses that show off her curves. It’s always great to see a woman so comfortable in her own body! When it comes to flaunting her figure no one does it quite like Mariah!
There is no doubt that Mariah has a lot of sex appeal, but Nicki could be some big competition in 2013. At the American Idol premiere event on Jan. 9, Nicki flaunted her amazing shape in a little colorful dress. She still stood out, as she tends to, but it was much more toned down. She wore her blonde hair straight, and she rocked a pink lip. She looked stunning! Could this be a sneak peak into Nicki’s 2013 wardrobe? Is she saying goodbye to multi-colored hair and the absolute funkiest outfits ever?
I guess we will have to see what their styles may bring on this season of American Idol, which premieres on Jan. 16. With both celebs as judges this season, brace yourselves for not just a singing competition– but also a fashion showoff between the two.
