Miley Cyrus Gets Pig For Birthday

Miley Cyrus, Pig, Birthday, 20th birthday
Happy Birthday Miley Cyrus. Here is a pig.
That was the message presented to the former Disney channel diva on Friday. Yes, the no longer teen icon rang in her 20th birthday with a pig pet gift from PETA.
Seeing as it’s PETA, the pig is not for bacon or wrestling, but instead for loving and cuddling.
It wasn’t exactly on her wish list, but Miley, being the good sport and animal lover that she is, accepted it with a smile on her face.
The animal rights advocacy group presented a porker named Nora in honor of her milestone birthday. The pig is housed not in the impromptu dog shelter of her Los Angeles home, but instead at the Kindred Spirits Sanctuary in Ocala, Florida.
According to the farm’s website, Kindred Spirits is “a non-profit farm animal sanctuary that provides rescue services and safe haven for neglected, abused, or abandoned farm animals.”
Other animals on site include cows, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, horses, and donkeys.
PETA has apparently been paying close attention to Miley’s affinity for pig culture lately. The group cited her recent appearance on “Ellen” where Miley “talked about how much she loves pigs” as the reasoning behind the gift.
But the platinum blonde pig pal didn’t stop there…
“Miley proved her affection for pigs when she retweeted a PETA action alert to her 10 million followers asking them to urge Walmart to ban its suppliers from cruelly confining pigs to tiny metal-barred gestation crates for months at a time,” a post on PETA’s site reads.
So, yes, Hollyscoopers… It looks like Miley is now besties with a pig. Yet one more thing she has in common with Honey Boo Boo Child….
